With reverence and deep respect for each of your stories, our therapists join you where you are on the journey. Utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, we work with you to create a path to transformational healing and well-being.

Our therapists currently see adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples.

Our Mission here at The Grove Counseling & Wellness Center is to offer affordable and conveniently located treatment in a serene setting with evening and weekend sessions offered. Our therapists see individuals, couples, families, children and adolescents utilizing a variety of therapy approaches and specialties. We believe in the inherent wisdom in all of us that is capable of healing and moving forward in our lives no matter where we start. Our therapists meet our clients where they are and assist them on their journey into living their most abundant, coherent, energized, and embodied lives.

Therapy is not easily described, and varies depending on the personalities of the therapist, client, and the particular problems you bring forward.  Many times, people seek therapeutic help because they have experienced some trauma or roadblock in their lives.  We at The Grove believe that all people are born with an innate ability to heal, but sometimes we need help to get to that healing.

Therapy can have benefits and risks. Since therapy often involves discussing unpleasant aspects of your life, you may experience uncomfortable feelings like sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness and helplessness. On the other hand, psychotherapy has also been shown to lead to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and significant reductions in feelings of distress. But there are no guarantees of what you will experience.  Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. By the end of the evaluation, your therapist will be able to offer you some first impressions of what your work will include and a treatment plan to follow.  If you decide to continue with therapy, you should evaluate this information along with your own opinions of whether you feel comfortable working with us.

To be strong does not mean to sprout muscles and flex. It means meeting one’s own numinosity without fleeing, actively living with the wild nature in one’s own way. It means to be able to learn, to be able to stand what we know. It means to stand and live.
— Clarissa Pinkola Estés, Women Who Run With the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype
Mental life is an emergent self-organizing process of the embodied and relational flow of energy and information. The mind is not separate from our bodies or from our relationships—it both arises from them and regulates them.
— Daniel Siegel
